What a day

Flipping heck it's all kicking off in cricket land this week, I would have thought that this late in the season, the boys would have been on their last legs but apparently not. There were lots of  runs being made yesterday and HUGE scores  being posted.

So lets see what happened around the counties ( well the ones that matter anyway).

Top Tyke boy Adam Lyth was in super form and  after his century on Monday he hit a another yesterday. He then shared a record breaking partnership with Adil Rashid of  296, and when Yorkshire declared they were 610-6!!!  Rashid also hit a century and finished his innings on 150.
AND of course his Royal Ryanness then stepped up and took a very early Lancashire wicket,  Rashid also took a wicket, but that was it for the day as  Lancs were 144-2 at stumps.

Over at The Riverside, things were going a little bit mad for former besty home county of Durham, Captain Colleywobble hit a ton, his first since 2012 and one that was needed to get some runs and points on the board. sadly having hit his hundred he was then bowled by Shahzad.   who hopefully had the right shoes on as on Sunday he must have had the 'waterboy' running up and down on to the field with various shoes at least 5 times.
Chris Rushworth hit 45 and fell one short of his highest knock. Flipping well done that boy though!!!
Especially as he went in and took the first wicket of the second innings.

The scores at the end of day three were  Notts 197-4.

Durham need to go in today and flipping well get them all out in record time..........End of team talk.

Then over at Hampshire  ( or South Durham as it is now known) Jimmy Adams hit a double century and the team piled on the runs. Michael Carberry ( eye candy for the Dame) hit 110, and Adams 231. Every one else was so obviously in shock that no one managed to even make 50, but those opening batsmen had done good.

I am still hoping that Hants go up ( and that Durham DO NOT go down), as I have missed seeing them play this season.

Its going to be another mad old day out there today!

And for me? yes a mad old day in the office. At least yesterday I managed to 'stun' Trill Boy into silence. Yes indeedy doody, I knew something that he didn't know, however what it was, cannot be written about in this blog!

And finally, old Hants mate Garas, tipped up at the towers last night after a 'glofing' weekend. Great to see him and lots of chatting, been far too long.

OK off to the heady heights off super swanky Lady Lainey office and all the joy that this holds.
