It rained!!!

Oh yes although it was humid yesterday we had rain which meant that the hydrangeas got as second life and are looking very wonderful at the moment. And then, just as I was going to bed we had the most amazing storm.
A full on hour of thunder, lightning and rain, lots of it, in fact this morning lots of the garden was in ruins but it was a small price to pay for the filling of the water but ( well half way)and the fact that everything has had a flipping good soaking.

Today had dawned much cooler with a grey sky, rain is forecast again but hopefully not! it was nice to have a down pour but lets have more sun please.

It is summer after all.

There is the final ODI today as the teams have trundled up to Headingley.
I will be listening in today when I have a minute as I am still trying to set up the next side of the business and get that moving forward as quickly as possible.
I know all about 'less haste', but things have to move more quickly than normal.

There was also the announcement from the ECB as to which players they will release back to the counties.

Joe Root will be back for the Roses game  starting on Sunday and Rashid, Plunkett and Willey will be back for Friday.

Will this spoil the dynamic of the team that we have?
I think yes!
If it ain't broke and all that.

News also from Yorkshire is that Robin Smith ( no not THAT Robin Smith) will become chairman of the club after we Steve sadly reigned.
Ah yes all smart bib and ticker in the presidential suite from now on.

County Championship yesterday as Sussex are in Gloucestershire, the visitors were all out for 286 and at stumps Gloucestershire were 42-0. All to play for.

I am looking forward to the post man coming as there is  very special gift winging its way to me.

All will be revealed soon.

Right off to Darlo, have a good one
