Here we go again

Its Tuesday the Bank Holiday weekend is over and not another one in sight until August..................well that's a sobering thought! Not that I need to sober up. Its been a dry weekend here at the chateau.

Its also been a restful ( sort of ) one with lots of napping in the garden when the neighbours haven't been trying to put half a pig on a disposable barbecue!

it was also a quiet day on the cricket front although local clubs were having a few games which is always good to see.
50 over matches start again today and continue this week.

Lots of talk about changing the Test team, 'Stoneman out and Jennings in' is one cry.
Bring back Boycott I say ( and it really must be desperate times if that's my thoughts on it!)

There is no use crying over spilt milk, we played badly, we are going to look at out performance and do better, ( according to the coach and captain).

It will be interesting to see if we can do this.

In other news Phil Jacques has been named as coach of New South Wales, he had a spell at Yorkshire so he is bound to be a success!

John Hastings who is a man mountain, has signed for the Sydney Sixers in the BBL at the end of the year.
Hastings had played for the Melbourne All stars where he was captain.
he announced his retirement in  from first class cricket in October, but remains on the T20 circuit!

well that's about it, time to head out the door and get this week under way.
