we have rain.............

and fog and cold wind, so the start of this week looks as if it is going to be a little bit miserable.
We seem to have had all the winter weather in the space of a week.
How terribly British I apear to be starting the blog with weather!!

Well now, the first test in South Africa is looking to be slightly soured as Cricket Australia  investigate an 'incident' between David Warner  and Quinton de Kock.
It appears that Warner  was up to his old tricks and being as verbal as possible.
He apparently had to be restrained by Usman Kawaja and then dragged away by Steve Smith.
Faf du Plessis became in volved and the whole thing is just not cricket.
Warner is not known for his tact and often has a lot to say for himself.
I'm looking forward to the outcome of this.

It wasn't a good day for South Africa on day 4 as Abraham Benjamin was tun out for 0
They also need 123 runs to win, with one wicket left, that would be amazing but we know that it isn't going to happen.

In the World Cup qualifiers, my boys in orange were beaten by the boys in Green.

Scotland beat Afghanistan which managed to shake things up a bit.
Calum MacLeod  hit 157 not out steering the the side to a seven wicket win.

Yesterday saw the death of Sir Roger Bannister, the man who ran the first sub 4 minute mile, whilst working and training as a junior doctor!!!.
Bannister continued his medical career and also ran in the Olympics and the Commonwealth games.
All this and NOT receiving a knighthood until the New Years honours of 1975.

It has always made me wonder why a medal in the Olympics automatically means that you are made a Knight or a Dame
( or winning the Ashes gets you an MBE)

Well if the news is to be believed SIR Bradley Wiggins and team Sky are not as squeaky clean as they make out.
Lets see how this pans out.

Time to head out in to the thaw and hope that Monday is not too taxing,

I have lots to do this week both at home and at work.

Welcome to the new week.

Have a good one!
